Windows 10: Windows 11 explorer checkboxes permanently displayed

After the upgrade to Windows 11 on my ASUS UX360UAK Laptop with touchscreen, I can't get rid of the explorer check boxes. Neither via View Settings nor with the corresponding entries in the registry I am able to hide the explorer check boxes see attached picture. I guess the problem arises due to a possible tablet/touchscreen mode on the particular laptop. Non of my other computers show a similar behaviour.Anybody encountered the same and found a solution?Regards, Ralph

As there is no Open Button in the error display Window, I suggest you to click on the Right Arrow button in the bottom left corner and check if it helps or displays the full error message.

I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
• Click on “Internet Explorer Performance” and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Internet Explorer 11 not working on Windows 10

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter

Windows 10 internet Explorer Crashes / Freezes after most recent update

• What update did you install?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We suggest you to disable Internet Explorer from optional features and enable it again. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + R on your keyboard, type optionalfeatures
  and hit OK.
• Uncheck the checkbox with Internet Explorer 11 written against the box and restart your computer.
• After restart, check the box in optionalfeatures and restart again. Then, launch IE.
