Windows 11 Fails to Boot the first time, then works fine.

I am having a problem seemingly out of the blue with my computer that has worked fine for a few years now. Today when I attempted to turn on my computer from a powered off state, the windows startup hung up on the spinning circle for 2-3 minutes and eventually it gave me a BSOD with "Inaccessible boot device" and restarted, however the second time, it was able to successfully boot into windows. If i restart the PC from windows, it works fine, but every time i turn it on from a power off state, it will take 2 boots to startup, with the first one requiring 2-3 minutes of waiting for the BSOD. Slow Windows 11 Boot Time Issue - Need Help!

    Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 through a clean installation. I formatted my C drive completely, leaving the files on my D drive untouched. However, since the upgrade, I've been experiencing a significant issue with the booting time. It takes almost 1 minute 50 seconds to 2 minutes or more for the Windows login screen to appear. During this time, I can only see the loading indicator. This is in stark contrast to my previous boot time of 10-15 seconds on Windows 10.

Here are some additional details about my laptop:

    • Model: Asus Vivobook 14 D415UA
    • CPU: Ryzen 5500U
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • Storage: SAMSUNG SSD M2 512GB
    • Windows 11 Home 23H2
I have already ensured that Hiberboot/Fastboot is enabled, and hibernation is disabled, as I prefer to keep it that way (just like on Windows 10).

I am reaching out to the Reddit community for assistance in resolving this issue. I kindly request your help in providing any suggestions or solutions that might help me improve my boot time on Windows 11.

Please note that I am already aware of common troubleshooting steps like removing startup apps, so I would appreciate any insights beyond those.

Thank you in advance for your valuable assistance!

  3. Windows 11 upgrade failed.

    Thanks.

The BCD or the EFI boot partition's file system is corrupt. Rebuilding the EFI boot partition fixes this issue.

Please go through these links for more information:

If you need step-by-step assistance in this regard, boot into WinRE Command Prompt.

    Then run:

    • mountvol y: /s
    • bcdedit
    • diskpart
    • list vol
For each command, photograph the screen and upload it to OneDrive.

Metro 2033 fails to work on windows 10!

I don't recall you mentioning any trouble shooting steps attempted though. At the very least, doing a quick search and checking threads like this very well may have solved it for you. It's listed as compatible on MS' list of games that work with W10 for a reason, because many if not most are able to get it running on W10. At least some level of workaround may be required, but some got it running without doing anything.
