I have just installed Windows 11 because my company forced me to. In the first one hour of usage, I see several basic features missingQuick launch - Why is this not available. It is such a trivial feature.Taskbar expand - Taskbar cannot be expanded to multiple rows. What is point of calling it an update and removing basic features.Offtopic : Adobe did a stupid thing of reversing the navigation pane and now Microsoft tries to better it.

    :)

Windows 11 feels like a downgrade

I don't understand the point of the whole Windows 11 Insider Program, all I see are tons of useful features removed from Windows 10. It genuinely feels like a downgrade from Windows 10.

    • (See Screenshot Below) Can't group apps in Start Menu anymore
    • (See Screenshot Below) Half of the Start Menu is taken up by an empty Recommended section that simply has the text: "To show recent files, go to the settings"
    • You can't access the Playback/Recording/Sounds/Communications prompt without right clicking the sound icon, going all the way to the settings window, and then scrolling all the way down to find the obscure button for it.
    • You need to right-clicking on a file and click 'Show More Options' to access all context actions
    • Previously for Windows 10, you could right-click on the taskbar to open the Task Manager. With Windows 11, you can't do that anymore.
These are just the features I've noticed so far, but it feels like the Microsoft wants to force you to use Windows the way they want you to. I highly doubt they ever look at feedback at this point, but it'd be nice to have some of those features from Windows 10 back.

Screenshot of the Start Menu for reference

Windows 11 feels like a downgrade

Yes, Windows 11 was a downgrade from Windows 7.

The "security" that was added to W10, and increased on W11, makes using my PC a CHORE

I am looking for a copy of Windows 7 to install over this mess that is Windows 11

It happened a few times...
