Windows 10: Windows 11 file explorer jumps to top whenever the window focus is switched from File...

Hello, I've encountered a very annoying behavior involving Excel and Windows 11 file explorer.Occasionally I need to find some files info and write it in an Excel spreadsheet.I scroll through the files in file explorer to find the correct file and then switch to excel to write down the info, but immediately after switching to Excel, the file explorer jumps to the top of the file list.I checked if it happens with other windows but it seems to happen only when switching to Excel it doesn't appears to happen even with other Microsoft Office programs.Did anyone encounter this behavior? can someo

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Some files listed in Windows Explorer are blue font

I seem to have run out of room on a Windows XP Pro system. I tried to defrag but don't have but 7% room available. I looked in Windows Explorer to try to find some huge files that might be corrupt and I see a few that are listed in blue. What does that mean? I have not compressed anything on purpose. Thanks

 

Windows 10 File Explorer "jumps" to top of long list of files

This is one of the most annoying problems I've encountered with Windows 10. When looking at a long list of files using the File Explorer, no matter what I want to look at, it quickly jumps back to the top of the list. I know this is not a new problem (my
search shows a complaint from July 31, 2015). An answer to that complain posting was to "turn off the Automatic Accent Color for your backgrounds." That's not acceptable. I like the color changing automatically (what the hell does that have to do with the
File Explorer "jumping"? Is there another work-around, or is this just another ever continuing screw up by Microsoft?
