Windows 10: windows 11 file explorer no longer showing recent files

HelloMy windows explorer does not show any recent files like it use to on the home page. All I get is: Also the general format of the page has changed but not sure if that is related. Like now it shows "favorites" but did not before.I have tried the fix to turn off and on the "Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer" but that did not fix the problem.Some threads talk about "Security" on the file options general tab. I don't have that. I have changed the other selections on the tab with no change. OSEdition - Windows 11 Pro Version - 23H2 Installed on - ‎1/‎15/‎2023

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed

 

Windows 11: VSDX files do not show in Recent files in the file explorer's Home

The Home tab in the file explorer has a Recent Files list that included my .VSDX Visio files. After upgrade to Windows 11 these files are no longer in the list. I have added them to My Favorites to bypass this inconvenience but now I have to do that with every Visio file that I use often. I am using Windows 11 Enterprise 22H2 build 22621.2428
