Windows 10: Windows 11 File Explorer shows multiple file paths below the main file path when I click...

Hello everyone!Whenever I click back and forth between tabs in File Explorer, there will be an additional 4 to 10 file paths below the main file path see attached screenshot. The additional file paths will be there until I click in the original file path and sometimes click the little 'x' to remove the file path text. I have updated to the latest Windows 11 Pro 23H2 with no changes. Is there any option to disable the additional file paths from showing up?

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

How to have full path always show in Address bar in file explorer?

You can change the Windows 11 File Explorer address bar to show the full file path by following these steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
2. Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right of the window.
   
3. Click on 'Options'.
   
4. In the 'Folder Options' window that appears, go to the 'View' tab.
   
5. In the 'Advanced settings' list, find and check the 'Display the full path in the title bar' option.
   
6. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.
