Windows 10: Windows 11 File History Config?.xml files - I need expert advice How to include Program...

Like many, I need File History to keep versioned copies and backups of my important files. As many know, or are finding out, Microsoft has defecated on, deprecated File History to the point that it no longer does its job. However, I have found that by modifying the configuration files I can get it to mostly work. One folder seems to be giving me issues, and that folder is the Program Files x86.

for the tweakers out there, In programs like Paint and Flash Stand Alone- is there a command that can be implemented into the registry to stop Recent File List History from displaying on the File Menu of such programs. Like a String, Key Etc? I like to keep my rig from prying eyes. I am using windows 7 pro 64bit.

I’m working on a Linux project that includes identifying changes between XML files and I need a source code on C++ to compare XML fragments.
I’m using differencing tool ExamXML from A7Soft provides tools to compare XML documents to compare and merge XML files but this is Windows application.
