Windows 10: Windows 11 File Structure

Discus and support Windows 11 File Structure in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Microsoft pushed Windows 11 to my laptop, but my desktop machine is still on Windows 10.     Windows 11 File Structure


    Microsoft pushed Windows 11 to my laptop, but my desktop machine is still on Windows 10. It would be nice to have both machines on the same OS. However...The file stucture in Windows 11 is really confusing. There is a desktop link on top and another desktop link inside it. Everything on the desktop is listed in the top desktop folder, and then in another desktop folder within the top desktop folder. Pictures and music and videos are listed in the top desktop structure and then again in a folder called Libraries. Desktop files are also repeated in the C drive

    File structure of windows 10

    The Windows file and folder structure is exactly what you make it. When transferring pictures from one machine to the other then a simple way goes like this:

    1. Drag the various folders from the old PC to a flash disk.
    2. Connect the flash disk to the new PC.
    3. Drag the flash disk folders into your Pictures library.
    In this way you end up with exactly the same folder structure as you had on the old PC.

    Are the step-by-step processes identical? That is, the folder extracted from and the folder extracted to belong to the same hierarchical file system structure. If they are, that suggests mildly the Cumulative Update left an electron or two out of place.

    What is Normal File Structure in Windows 10?

    I am new to Windows 10 and have noticed what seems to be a strange file structure. A click on File Explorer generates this list:

    Quick Access

    Dropbox

    OneDrive

    This PC

    WD Disk(L)

    Network

    Homegroup

    Under WD Disk(L) there is a subfolder named WD Disk(L) and as one might expect the contents in the two folders are identical.

    WD Disk(L) is an external backup disk.

    Is this file structure normal with Windows 10 and if it is I will live with it.
