Windows 10: Windows 11 flipping background image

Hi I have a brand new Asus laptop with Windows 11 and whenever I add a custom image as my desktop background it flips the image 180 degrees after 1-2 minutes, I've watched it happen every time I reset it. I have the background set to picture and I'm browsing to select the photo I want. I've tried moving the photo to a different folder and selecting it there but the same thing happens. My desktop icons stay in the same orientation, it's just the image itself. Additionally it's only on the laptop screen itself. If I have another monitor plugged in via HDMI desktops extended, not duplicated the

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

• Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
• Are you referring to desktop background image or lock screen image?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the background picture and check if it helps.

• In the search type as ‘Settings’ and click on it.
• Select ‘Personalization’, under ‘Background’ option select as ‘Picture’.
• Under ‘Choose your picture’ select any picture accordingly or you can browse the picture from your computer.

Photos app hogging resources in background

Ian, this suggestion was posted on my other thread:

We understand that not all of users are using the Photos app on Windows 10, if not very often. If you don't want this app to be running on background when not in use, there is a way you can turn this
off. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

• In Cortana, type Privacy Settings
  and press Enter.
• Look for Background apps.
• Look for Photos in the list.
• Flip the switch to Off.
• Restart your computer.

After you restart your computer, you can check if the Photos app is still running in background. You can use these steps to turn off any running background applications as it is not limited to Photos
app alone. In this way, you can conserve a lot of power and process allowance.

I just followed these instructions, and now have to wait to see if it works. I'm hoping it solves your problem, too!
