  1. windows 11 force scale aspect ratio of 4:3

I use the 4:3 resolutions a lot, however since my laptop has an apu, I can't adjust the scaling of the 4:3 resolution stretched/black bars from a gpu control panel.I tried using the intel graphic command center, but under the scaling options, there is only one option "maintain display scaling" which just stretches the resolution whenever I use 4:3 automatically.MyAsus and the Intel Arc control haven no options to change this either.Any help?

    :)

  2. windows 11 force scale aspect ratio to monitor size

I just got a laptop with an integrated graphicscard alongside the main gpu.

I want to automatically force the resolution to be streched to fit the monitor edge automatically when I open a program running in a different aspect ratio than the one i use on desktop.

My screen is 16:9, So if i tab into a game running at 16:10 aspect ratio i want it to be stretched vertically so remove the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, and if i open an app running at 4:3 i want it to stretch horisontally. Once i exit both I want it to go back to 16:9 again.

I have previously been using nvidia controlpanel to force it to strech the aspect ratio through display settings, but these are handeled by the integrated one now and thus do not appear in nvidia controlpanel.

I dont want to disable the integrated graphicscard if I can help it.

I just want to find the setting that scales the resolution to the monitor aspect ratio automatically when i tab in and out of apps and games.

Windows 10 Full Screen Aspect Ratio 4:3 problem

Well, this is interesting. When this thread was started on '15 Win10 had taken control of screen scaling and

the options in the display drivers Control Panel was no longer effective, and it was not possible to run games

that used a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution in full wide screen.

Looks like MS finally heard the cries of the gamers who play these old game wide screen and
    returned

the option for screen scaling to the gpu again with the 1703 update.

Will wonders never cease. Does this mean that MS is actually listening to the complaints from gamers ?

[ EDIT: Nov '17 - Update 1709 and screen scaling is still back to how it was on Win7 and earlier - Controlled by the graphics driver, not Windows.

Screen scaling options are in your graphics processors Control Panel as they used to be prior to earlier versions of Win10.

    - What this means now, is people who want their old games to run in their
native 4:3 aspect ratio have to select the correct

setting in their graphics processors Control Panel, as it is no longer forced automatically by Win10 ]

Windows 10 Full Screen Aspect Ratio 4:3 problem

    Hello there Windows 10 users,

I've recently updated to Windows 10 Pro, from Windows 8.1 Pro, since i've updated i've had problems playing games in fullscreen on a 4:3 aspect ratio.

I've noticed something strange, if i change to a lower resolution on desktop and than go into IntelHD 4000 and select "Scale Full Screen" it works perfect, i mean it stretches the resolution to the whole screen, but only on desktop, if i enter a game it
will have blackbars on the sides.

But here's the odd thing, if i enter a game, let's say for example CS:GO or Dota2, and i have ingame aspect ration 4:3, my game will have blackbars on each side of the monitor, even if i have "Scale Full Screen" selected in IntelHD 4000.

And another odd thing is that if i am ingame and press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, the desktop takes the 4:3 aspect ratio of the game with blackbars on the side...

What can i do? Please give me a solution to this annoying bug.
