Windows 10: Windows 11 forcing me to change my pin and prevent me from using characters

Hi,Today when I started my computer Windows forced me to change my PIN code because "organization security policy changed", while doing that it also prevent me from using characters to make my pin no more include symbols and character checkbox which I find especially annoying considering that as I don't like to use numbers it makes me use smaller pin, which just lower immensely the security of my account, and makes it harder to type it.I'm not also not able to change the pin outside of the login prompt as windows settings tells me that PIN Windows Hello is currently unavailable because "So

Why am I being forced to change my PIN?

It is possible that PIN Complexity Group Policy is enabled. You can enforce a policy where users will be required to create a strong complex PIN to sign in. The Group Policy Editor is available in Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise, and
Windows 10 Education editions only. To configure PIN Complexity Group Policy in Windows 10, follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
• Navigate to the following setting:
  
  Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates >
  Windows Components > Windows Hello for Business >
  PIN Complexity
• Here you will see the following settings that are available:
  • Require digits
  • Require lowercase letters
  • Maximum PIN length
  • Minimum PIN length
  • Expiration
  • History
  • Require special characters
  • Require uppercase letters
• Double-click on each of the settings to open the configuration box. Go through the options carefully before you enable or disable them.

Once you enable or disable these policies, users will be required to change the PIN and depending on the policies you have set, users will see the PIN requirements that you may have set.

Pin being forced to make it 6 characters

I added a school/work account so I could save something to my OneDrive there and just to have it for the ease of access. This then prompted me the next time I tried to sign in to change my pin. It would not let me keep the same pin as it had to be 6 characters long vs my normal shorter one. Since it made me do this I signed out of it and went to change my pin again and now I can’t change it back and it has to be 6 characters. Anyone know why this is happening.

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Change button.
  
• 
  Enter your Windows password, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a new 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Click the Finish button.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
