Windows 10: Windows 11 Forgot PIN option kicks me back to user selection

I have gotten myself locked out of my Login Linked to Windows account and I am the admin.I went to use the "Forgot PIN" option and rather then take me through the authentication stuff it just got back to the splash screen and when I click the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard it goes back to user selection. I can't get through the process of resetting my PIN.Will enabling the hidden Admin account and going through there to reset password for my account that is admin and linked to windows account work?Thanks for the help.

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.

 

Can't login to Windows 10 with a PIN

Would you mind sharing the error message you received when you tried adding a PIN? There's a possibility that the old PIN is still saved on your PC. Try setting a new PIN using the I forgot my PIN option. Follow these steps:

• Go to Settings > Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options and select I forgot my PIN.
• Follow the instructions and enter your Microsoft account password. You should be able to set a new PIN code.

There's a possibility that the PIN code you're asked to enter is the PIN code of your Windows 10 user account. If you signed in to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, the Xbox app will take the credentials you've used to sign in. Let's remove the PIN
code. Here are the steps:

1. Click Start and select Settings.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Sign-in options, under PIN, click
   Remove.
4. Confirm the changes by entering your profile password.
