Windows 10: Windows 11 FPS and Latency Problem

Hi,My Asus laptop has Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and i7 11370H processers with 16 gb Ram and previously I was able to play any game that I want with good FPS rates. After I downloaded windows 11, my FPS is around 30 overwatch, counter strike2 and a have a huge lag on games all the time. Even age of empires2 cannot be played properly.. I have updated my drivers, tried disabling Game DVR, turning off the game mod and at the end I even reinstalled windows11 from recovery, but still have the same issue. You were wise to roll back since you didn't have TPM which is key to the new Security features in Windows 11, even though the roll back (just like the Upgrade) is an inferior install that can cause problems. Now let's see if we can resolve the low FPS which has known fixes that often work.

Fortnite FPS Problems

Standing by here waiting for the results of the fixes I gave you for FPS stuck at 60 fps which is a known issue which I gave you every available fix for.

This is an interactive process. I give steps to perform, you do each one and then report back results until something works, so I know what to suggest next. If you need help performing any step, just ask back. But please do not skip any steps. We often find out the skipped step is the fix.

 

Sudden severe FPS drop (lag spike) and input device latency skyrockets

The problem consists on at least 2 games that I frequently play.

The problem occurs when my custom-built PC worked for a few hours and then games were played. I have done clean boot and currently no services are enabled (other than Avira Operations GmbH's Endpoint Protection Service and Endpoint Protection Secondary Service, of which they are enabled by itself every time I do a clean boot). Startup items are all disabled.

Memory diagnostic tool has been run and no problems were found. Graphics driver has been updated to the latest version, and game settings are not extreme.

Hardware:

CPU - i5-9400F 6 core 6 thread

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 Ti produced by MSI, with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM

RAM - DDR3, 16GB

Storage - 1TB SSD & 500GB HDD of which storage do not reach half

Software: Windows 10 22H2

Video demonstration:

At 0:11 of the video the game noticably lags, FPS drops and input latency increases. The audio still plays. All movements from the keyboard and mouse are "ignored". The screen "freezes" for around half to 1 second. FPS and input latency can be seen at the bottom-right corner of the video, of which the shown FPS data is the output FPS from the computer, not the display FPS on the monitor.

On another game Minecraft, when FPS drops the FPS counter could show the FPS decreasing from around 165 to low as 1 to about 25.

When both games were run, CPU and GPU temperature was not too high; GPU ran on about 60 degrees celcius. CPU did not load for a usage higher than 75%; GPU ran at about 60 degrees celcius; VRAM usage was at about three-fourth of 4 GB, RAM usage was at about half of 16 GB or at most three-fourth of 16 GB. Internet is at good condition.

CPU and GPU cooling fans did not speed up during the process of FPS drop and input latency increase.
