    Windows 11 Freeze Issue Com Surrogate


    Lately when running graphics intensive applications my system has started freezing up for a second or two every 73 seconds. What the heck? GPU utilization drops to zero during that time, and a slight bump up in CPU utilization in a couple of threads. Looking at task manager a system process, Com Surrogate 32bit, kicks in during that time, and then ends. I do not know if I installed any new software around the time it started. When this started I was on Windows 10. I have upgraded every hardware component in my system, except for the motherboard and upgraded from Wiindows 10 to 11, and the

    Error Message: COM Surrogate has stopped working

    Hi Bernard,

    COM Surrogate is a process in Windows 10 that is in charge of showing thumbnails and similar information. Issues with COM Surrogate
    is probably caused by MacType or codecs and other COM components installed by various software, like some versions of DivX or Nero.

    We would like to know some information to better assist you:

    • Have you done any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
    • What specific activity are you doing when the error message come up?

    Windows 11 freezes while booting

    Hello, I have a problem with my windows 11.

    Sometimes my PC will freeze while boot, it only freezes if I:

    • Turn on the PC
    • Reset PC
    • Reboot / Restart PC
    • Restart for update
    • Enter advance / Recovery mode
    and how can I solve this problem because I'm resetting this PC. if this problem occurs during the process of course it will be damaged, as well as while updating windows.

    Is there any solution for this issue?, i Will appreciate your suggestion.
