    I have recently updated windows from 10 to 11 and facing this issue of random freeze and restart. I performed sfc/scannow and DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth but nothing happened. When I went in safe mode, I saw "ctfmon.exe Overrun of stacked based buffer." error. I tried to repair which also didnt work so i did a clean install of windows 11 and updated all the drivers and installed all the windows updates till date. But it has started again. This can't be a graphic driver issue as I have been updating it as soon as it comes. This never happened with windows 10. I am not going to in

    Windows 7 freezes then restarts

    OKay I can see that changing it to Ide, it's gotten me further in the loading process but it freezes. And restarts. If there another option? I'm going to try the start up repair to see if that helps.

    Have you tryed booting into safemode using F8? You might have a driver that is causing it to freeze at the windows logo.
