Windows 10: Windows 11 freezes to boot unless I first open bios.

The problem occured suddenly when my antivirus updated and I restarted the system. Now everytime I first have to open the bios and save the settings, only then my windows boots up, otherwise it freezes on the boot.Since then I have also noticed other problems such as windows key on my keyboard is also not working, the touchpad and keyboard freezes after I open the laptop from sleep.I have tried the following solutions already: 1. Rebuild the boot record.2. Rebuild the efi partition from scratch.3. Disabled fast boot.3. Format my ssd completely and installed new copy of windows.Please help me t

Windows PC freezes on boot UNLESS I open the BIOS first

This issue is literally driving me insane. I've asked for help on several forums, with plenty of suggestions but none have resolved the issue.

For the past 3 weeks, my computer has been freezing on the Windows boot screen - the spinning circle will freeze in place, and the computer never starts. However, very strangely, if I open the BIOS and then exit, the computer boots normally. It's worth mentioning that most repair tools (Automatic Repair, Startup Repair, etc.) are also freezing in the same way - and even a Windows recovery USB sometimes freezes.

I've tried an absurd list of things:

• Turning off Fast Startup in Power Options
  
• Checking boot priorities in my BIOS (they're fine)
  
• Messing around with various BIOS settings
  
• Startup Repair (Which, when I got it to work, said "A recently serviced boot binary has been corrupt.")
  
• Bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot
  
• Enabling boot logging (the log is here - but doesn't seem to tell me much)
  
• /sfc scannow (which seems to randomly choose between finding nothing or fixing corrupted files)
  
• DISM tool (found nothing)
  
• Unplugging all peripherals
  
• Updating to the latest version of Windows 10
  
• Downgrading to an older version of Windows 10
  
• Reseating most hardware inside the PC
  
• Completely resetting the BIOS
  
• Waiting (I waited 45 minutes to see if it would start eventually, it did not)
  
• Updating graphics drivers
  
• Checking device manager for any corrupt/problematic drivers (I didn't find any)
  
• Running several drive health tools to check if my drive is corrupted (It is healthy)
  

Other than updating the BIOS (which could be dangerous) or reinstalling Windows (which is a massive inconvenience for me) I have no idea what else to try that could fix this issue.

 

Windows 11 freezes while booting

Hello, I have a problem with my windows 11.

Sometimes my PC will freeze while boot, it only freezes if I:

• Turn on the PC
  
• Reset PC
  
• Reboot / Restart PC
  
• Restart for update
  
• Enter advance / Recovery mode
  

and how can I solve this problem because I'm resetting this PC. if this problem occurs during the process of course it will be damaged, as well as while updating windows.

Is there any solution for this issue?, i Will appreciate your suggestion.

Disabling my alternate drives did not help, and a clean boot made no difference.

However! This morning the computer would not boot at all, even freezing after I exited the BIOS - but updating the BIOS allowed it to boot normally, even without entering through BIOS! I'll keep you updated on whether the freeze reoccurs, but for now the issue seems to be fixed!!
