  1. Windows 11 Freezes with a new computer Same C Drive SSD

Hi there, I was having computer freezes on my previous Windows 11 computer, so I upgraded everything except for the C Drive SSD and Video Card NVIDIA 4090. What is weird is that I can play some games and use windows at times with no issues but some instances it freezes relatively quick. I was playing Planet Crafters for more than 2 hours without any issues but I started playing Empyrion Galactic Survival and my computer froze after 30 minutes. The computer freezes with the sound still playing and eventually 5 minutes the computer will restart.Mini Dump: 042324-12390-01.dmpMini Dump: 032

  2. Installing Windows on my new C drive

Current Situation: My C Disk is cramming up and I decided to change a new C disk.

Currently my computer storage is composed of an SSD (being my C disk) and an HDD. I bought a new SSD and desire to somehow transfer my current system into the new SSD along with the current environmental variables, user data, both program files folder, and
various other folders instead of installing a brand new system on my new C drive.

    Questions I am currently wondering:

    1. I noticed the function provided by windows called "Create a system image". Currently my softwares are distributed evenly in my C drive (SSD) and D drive (HDD). I am not changing my HDD, so softwares installed there will not be removed. If I only choose
to backup my system in my C drive, can I still run my softwares on my HDD after changing a C drive and reinstalling Windows using the generated ISO file?
    2. Does this function "create a system image" pack up the environmental variables, registry, along with all other folders in my C drive, or only the minimal system?
    3. If I extract the system image ISO into my new C drive, can I somehow "extract" from the ISO file to create a new system in my new drive? If not, is it possible to make my new C drive a windows Boot USB, and directly installing the windows system onto itself?
    4. What is your suggested method of making this move?

    Thank you for your help!!

  3. New SSD freezes my computer past login screen (and misc.)

Yes the SSD was attached to the proper port. Not sure how I can check the SSD firmware unless since when I boot it with it attached my PC freezes. Unless you mean doing all those steps in safe mode.

Also, I read on Windows 10 FAQ that to mix and batch MBR and GPT drives, I have to have the GPT drive as the boot one?

Or MBR boot plus GPT data still work?

Windows 11 Freezes with a new computer Same C Drive SSD

Changing installation of windows from a HDD Drive (current unit C) to a SSD Drive (current unit E)

    Hi,

I recently bought a Lenovo P360 desktop computer. The computer comes with three drives:

    - HDD 4 Tb (unit C)

    - HDD 2 Tb (unit D)

    - SSD 1 Tb (unit E)

For some reason, in Lenovo they decided to install Windows 11 in the HDD drive of 4 Tb, and make such drive the unit C of my computer.

In order to improve the performance of the computer, I would like to reinstall Windows 11 in the SSD drive , while deleting the installation from the HDD 4 Tb drive.

Could you let me know which steps I need to follow in order to have Windows installed in the SSD?

(For info, I have already created a USB recovery from the Lenovo webpage with Windows 11)

    Many thanks in advance,

    Miquel
