Windows 10: Windows 11 freezing when I connect external monitors via Dell Dock

I'm having an issue recently which appears to be only happening after a recent Dell BIOS update. The issue is that once Windows 11 starts up, anywhere from the login screen to 30 minutes, the entire OS will freeze, and displays will go black. The only way to get the system back is by doing a hard reset. This started happening after having Dell Command apply the latest BIOS update to v1.27 unable to downgrade to v1.26 as it notes this is unsupportedI've ruled out the most typical items from a hardware and software perspective, narrowing this down to only a Windows 11 issue and external displa

Issues detecting external monitors with Dell Docking Station on windows 11 Laptop

Hi Team,

I am having issue with windows 11 and dell docking station. I have updated the windows and install all the firmware recommended from dell support for the docking station, but still docking station is not detecting the external monitors and not charging the laptop. On the other hand mouse and Ethernet port is working fine on docking station. The laptop is Dell i5 (Vostro 15 3530) and docking station is Dell Thunderbolt Dock - WD19TB.

I have disconnected power from the dock and press the power button for 30 seconds to drain the battery and then turn on the docking station after 3 lights flashes connected to laptop still no luck issue persist.

Can you please help me regarding the same. I have tried everything but still not able to make it work. This is for one of my client and they are asking to fix it asap.

• The connection is via a cable where one end is a DVI port connected to monitor and the other end is a HDMI port connected to laptop
  
• My other laptop, Dell XPS 15 with Ubuntu 20 - recognizes the external monitor.
  
• Before upgrading to Windows 11, problematic laptop (Dell Precision 7560) had Windows 10, and external monitor was recoginzed.
  

 

New Dell Latitude Laptop with a Dell Dock. External Samsung monitor not being recognized?

I got a new Dell Latitude Laptop WIndows 10 machine with a Dell Dock. I have a Samsung SyncMaster SA350 External monitor that plugs into the VGA port on the dell dock. However, the computer does not recognize the external monitor? What is wrong?
