  1. Windows 11 game tabs unfocusing

Not really sure what I would call it, but randomly through gaming my game with sort of blink, and then I'll lose control over the tab until I right-click back on it. Since I'm not really sure what to call this, as it isn't being minimized or tabbed out per se, I haven't had any luck finding a fix for this online. Would really appreciate a response.

    :)

Just upgraded to windows 11. I am having an issue when I alt tab out of a game it will minimize the game and I can still hear the game running however it will not allow me to tab back in or click the icon. I have tried disabling GPU scheduling and changing the alt tab settings to see alternate monitors which have been suggestions I have found while googling. ANY help would be appreciated.

  3. Windows 11 Alt Tab out of a game

    Hello TRiP Heretic,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You can't click on the game with the minimized window in the taskbar right? What did you do before this problem appeared?

The problem occur with a single game or with all programs?

I suggest you go to the device manager to uninstall the graphics driver and reinstall it to see if it can be solve.

Type "Device Manager" in the search>Open Device Manager > find the display adapter driver in the device list > right click and select "Uninstall" > restart the computer and reinstall the driver.

In addition, if you have more than one graphics card under the system I suggest you go to the device manager to disable any one whether it can alleviate the problem.

On the other hand, please try to perform a clean boot in Windows, so that you can determine whether a Third-party software program is interfering with your game or program.

How to perform a clean boot

    1. Sign in to the computer as an administrator. If you are unsure if your account has administrator rights, see Create a local user or administrator account in Windows to find out how to see if your account has administrator rights, and grant them to your account, if necessary.
    2. Select Search , type msconfig , and then select System Configuration from the list of results.
    3. On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all. Select Apply.
    4. On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each Enabled startup item, select the item and then select Disable. (Keep track of which items have been Disabled. You will need to know this later.)
    6. Close Task Manager.
    7. On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it will be in a clean boot environment. You can click How to perform a clean boot in Windows for more details about clean boot.
Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get you back on track.

Please feel free to let me know if you got any further updates, thanks.
