    Hello all,I've had an HP Omen computer for the last 4-5 years and its ran great over the time up until Tuesday this week when I started it up and right away once it attempted to start Windows 11 it came back with a blue screen of death with error code Critical_Process_Died. It then brings up a troubleshooting/recovery page.I've looked through this Microsoft forum and tried everything people suggested in the past but I haven't gotten any luck with any of it.I ran an SFC /SCANNOW at least 5 times now and each time it says it "found corrupt files and successfully repaired them" each time but

    Critical_process_died at startup


    Several times since Windows 10 has been updated (see attached file) I have received a "Critical_process_died" notification. Sometimes at startup & at least one time during normal browsing. Have talked with a local computer shop about various problems & he suggested a clean install. Attached is the dump file per your instructions.
    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Windows 10 "Shutdown Button" Not Working - I Give Up

    Hello, Caxtin. I’ve not actually heard about this before - I’m assuming when you shut down and make a small mouse or keyboard input it turns on instantly? My guess on the fix is to disable Fast startup. Fast Startup is also known as Windows Hybrid Shutdown. Follow these steps to disable it:
    1. Open the Control Panel
    2. Go to Hardware and Sound → Power Options
    3. Click on Choose what the power button doeschoose what the power button does
    4. Go to Shutdown Settings
    5. Uncheck the Turn on Fast Startup (recommended) optionturn off fast startup windows 10
    6. Apply the changes.
    If you can’t uncheck Fast Startup, click on the option Change settings that are currently unavailable. You could also run the shutdown command to see if that works (a method of troubleshooting if the above option doesn’t work) In the start menu type: Shutdown /s /t 0 - *Smile
