Windows 10: Windows 11 going to sleep in spite of settings

Windows 11 is going to sleep even though I have all 'plugged in' settings on 'Never'; yes, I have checked each setting in control panel in addition to adjusting my power plan, so PLEASE do not link or repeat that info! Furthermore, database queries and multimedia software are running. I know when W11 goes to sleep because the music stops.I have already followed all the threads available on Community and checked all the settings in Sleep. This is a NEW problem, something related to a WINDOWS update nothing else has been changed.Is there another hidden Sleep adjustment?Is it a bug?Is it going

Windows 11 does not go to sleep

My Windows 11 desktop does not turn off the screen after the specified time. It also does not go into sleep mode after the specified time. I have tried all the steps suggested in this thread and still not good. I do not have any joy stick or anything like that attached. It used to work that a few months ago it quit. The only thing that happened was routine Windows updates.

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled.

I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen.


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.






I cannot get a large image, so will type

I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing.

I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode .

Any suggestions? Jim
