  1. Windows 11 GPU issues

I'm not sure what is going on or even what to do here. Ever since I've gotten this PC I've noticed some issues, they all seem related to the GPU in some way. I had artifacting on Chrome when watching YouTube videos, I solved that issue by switching to OpenGL. Yesterday I seem to have noticed an issue between G-sync and my MSI Optix G273QPF monitor, Halo Infinite and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I turned g-sync off and after retrying those games, they are no longer causing the flickering/fluttering issue I was noticing prior. However one day when I booted it up, my monitors all froze and went

    Windows 7 + GPU-Z size issue

It should be noted that w1zzard is aware of this issue, what we want is more people with the same problem to come forward and report any information they can.

    Problem: GPU-Z is too big.

Thats my GPU-Z on the right, sitting on top of a browser window (the GPU-Z page) showing the size difference.

    How to reproduce it:

    1. Must be running windows 7
    2. Must be on a high resolution display (1080p and above?)
    3. windows must DEFAULT you to the following setting of 125%

    Windows 11 GPU issues [IMG]

The exact problem is that when you are defaulted to 125%, everything is made larger.
When you drop to 100%, GPU-Z doesnt drop with it.

This same problem used to occur on CPU-Z as well, screenshot for proof

We just anyone else with this issue to step forward, w1zzards not going to bother fixing it if its just me.

    notes:
    • if you default to 100%, you can change up and down problem free
    • we beleive the default is chosen when you install windows, but we arent sure.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Optical Drive Issue

    Hello Anak –

Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

Assuming I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the “Send to” listing.
Screenshot 11 shows the “Send to” listing after the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

So, it appears the steps did not work for me. And, I did try the steps, “If it still won’t do ……” and still no luck.

    What do you think?
