    Hello! Recently, after accidently pressing down on some keys, my monitor switched over to a grey hue. It isn't totally grey -- I can still see some color, it's more of a grey-white filter. I've already tried the control-windows key-c, but my color filters are turned off. Additionally, all contrast themes are off, meaning there is something else wrong. Also, I've attempted restarting and unplugging and replugging my computer, but still, this issue persists.Please help!

    Colors looking grey in Windows 10

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that the colors look grey on your computer. I would suggest you to check the color filters in Settings and see if that helps. Kindly, refer the steps mentioned below:



    1. Press Windows key + U, to open
      Ease of Access Settings      .
    2. Now, select Color filters from the left pane.
    3. Under Use color filters, toggle the switch to
      off for Turn on color filters.
    4. Clear the check box for Allow the shortcut key to toggle filter on or off.

    Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Miguel O., Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

    Nikhar_K Microsoft Agent | Moderator posted a solution to a user who had a similar issue:

    "Press Windows key + U, to open Ease of Access Settings.

    Now, select Color filters from the left pane.

    Under Use color filters, toggle the switch to off for Turn on color filters.

    Windows 11 Grey hue on monitor, cntrl+windows+c not working. Grey filter problem

    Rotation lock is greyed out

    I have a Yoga 14 which was running fine until recently

    I cant find Intel virtual button (for suggested fix)

    There is no YMC listed in the services (for suggested fix)

    I have put sensor monitor on AUTO

    Auto rotate is greyed out on toolbar and in settings.

    Windows 10 is latest update as is Lenovos updates

    This is a very frustrating problem that shouldn't really be a problem anymore. Windows 10 has been around long enough.
