    Windows 11 hijacked my NVMe harddrive.


    I can't reinstall windows. I can't delete the partitions Windows made. I can't boot from a cd or thumbdrive unless it's a windows disk. I have a ROG Strix B550-F with a Ryson 5 5500. Windows shouldn't even be seen anymore because I supposedly deleted all partitions. Windows keeps wanting to recover itself even those the harddrive has supposedly been reformatted.

    Best gaming harddrive Sugestion ???

    Seagate states on their 750gb,32mb cache harddrive that the best application is video surveillance.(liquor stores,how very sad and completly overpriced for the amount of problems they have).Yet Passmark lists this near the top of their harddrive page.Any one have a suggestion for something that will last.(maybe samsung???)
    Also I was considering a Raidmax hybrid 2 sli 630w powersupply.Any thoughts on Raidmax??

    After reading what you went through I would strongly suggest you read the advice of Monkey57 and try his steps. Normally

    Browser hijackers     don't show this kind of behavior and more could be going on. Normally I don't suggest Resetting your computer but in this case....

    Windows 11 hijacked my NVMe harddrive.

    Attempts to install Win11 resulted in an NVME being Write-Protected. How do I clear Write-Protection?

    I am in the same situation. I bought a new laptop with Windows 11 Home and added a 2 TB NVMe SSD to it. I upgraded to Win 11 Pro. Everything worked fine with the drive at that point; however, I had to perform a reset to reinstall the OS for other reasons. When the reinstall was finished, the NVMe was write protected. I took all of the same steps listed in this thread with the same results - the drive remains write protected.
