Windows 10: Windows 11 Home: Can't run WSL 2 and Oracle's VirtualBox simultaneously

The title says it all. To get VBox to work properly in Windows 11 I have to turn off "Virtual Machine Platform" in "Turn Windows features on or off." But that breaks WSL 2 meaning you can't run it at the same time that you run Virtual Box. This was never a problem in Windows 10. Is there an alternative to VBox that will work while WSL 2 is running in Windows 11 Home?

My question is... if both Docker and VirtualBox use Hyper-V what about WSL 2.0? Does that use Hyper-V and does using WSL 2.0 mean that I can't use VirtualBox?

I'm also going to guess that Docker and WSL 2.0 wouldn't be an issue if I use Docker Desktop WSL 2 as opposed to the regular Docker Desktop on Windows?

 

Oracle VirtualBox not compatible with Windows 10

A several months ago I upgraded to Windows 10. I had been using an old MS DOS database via Oracle VirtualBox in Windows 8.1 so I installed it on the new system and it worked OK and I used it in Windows 10 for several weeks. But, all of a sudden it won't
open! Double click icon on task bar.... nothing, double click icon on desk top...nothing! I tried re-installing it....still nothing! I ran Windows troubleshooter and it says the program is incompatible! It worked at one time!!! Any ideas how to make
it work???

Windows 10 v 1703, Oracle VM VirtualBox

Hello community, upgraded to 1703 2 days ago. Most apps are working fine. Except Oracle VM VirtualBox v 5.1.8 stopped working on both computers I upgraded. Luckily there's a new version out ( VBox 5.1.22), installed it & works fine. Just wanted to give
you a heads up if you run into the same problem.
