Windows 10: Windows 11 Home Digital License from old to new PC doesnt work. yes i deactivated it on old PC.

Remove windows digital license from old pc to transfer it to new pc

I have deactivated the digital license from old pc installed the new windows version to my new pc . I log in my microsoft acc and in my new pc its still showing not activated. Even if i run pc audit it shows my l25 character license key entered . As soon as i rest old pc or re instal the windows on the old pc there it keeps being activated and my new pc not activated. I have formatted so many times tried every option a could find on the net . My new pc still not activated. And the old one activated with my digital license. Pls help i want to sell my old hardware.

 

Deactivate windows digital license for good on old hardware

This windows was bought seperatly from this hardware. It was first activated on hardware that i had before this old pc. I then managed to get the digital license to work on that machine after getting a new pc.

I have now bought a new pc, and when i removed the key from my old computer, this pc would not activate windows. So what i did was link my digital license to my microsoft account whilst using that machine. When i then logged into my new pc with my microsoft account windows activated. Stating that windows is activated with a digital license linked to your microsoft account. The old machine reads activated with a digital license. It is a retail key.

I have removed windows from reinstalled windows on the old machine 3 times. Everytime i reinstall windows it activates with digital license as soon as it is connected to the internet.. While not logging into any microsoft account, just making a local account.
