HelloI have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ACH6H with Windows 11 Home.I have setup one logon profile for work and one for home. However, if I attempt to login to both profiles and switch between them, the laptop becomes almost completely unresponsive. At least three seconds to recognise a single mouse click! Something is seriously wrong....What is going on here - is Windows 11 flawed in a similar manner to Vista? Do I need to downgrade to Windows 10?Thanks

    :)

I see. User profile can get corrupted on brand new computer. When you create the user for the first time, Windows will create the user profile to house the data and preference, etc for that user. That's why you would notice the first time you log in it takes longer as that's the "creation" process. During that process, power surge or power loss, or other factors can cause the profile to be corrupted. It can happen and it is not a Windows 11 specific issue.

I definitely suggest that you try to create two more users.. and see if you can log in to the two new users at the same time and see if the performance works. Make sure the two old users are not signed in at all during this testing.

    Hello there, this is Emily.

Having multiple user profiles running at the same time could slow down the performance, but it shouldn't be significant. Do you have any apps running on either profile that might consume more resources? I think it is worth observing in Task Manager, especially the Performance tab to see if there's any usage surge on the CPU or RAM or Disk.. and then see if you can identify which process is causing it.

It can be also due to user profile corruption. Have you tried recreating the user and see if it makes any difference?
