Windows 10: windows 11 home on new asus laptop - cannot switch off s mode

hello there,i tried to switch off s mode on my new Asus windows 11 home, in all possible ways, but everytime i follow the instructions, i get the prompt: Sorry, something went wrong. We're trying to make it right. Please refresh or try again later. How can I solve this problem, as I need apps like zoom etc for my work. Thank you very much in advance,Carmen

New Asus laptop - cannot switch out of S Mode

So purchased a new laptop today and lo and behold I can barely run anything due to not being able to switch out of S mode.

I have tried everything available to me:

• resetting MS Store
  
• logging in and out of MS Store
  
• restarting Windows Update service
  
• Changing region to US
  
• Resetting PC
  

plus a bunch of other stuff I can barely remember. Half of which don't work because I'm told they aren't supported software and to run them I need to switch out of S Mode!!! I can't even reset from a bootable USB as I cannot run the Media Creation Tool.

Beyond ridiculous.

 

ASUS Laptop Won't Wake from Sleep Mode

Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

 

Windows 11 laptop switching to tablet mode and locking up

I have an hp Pavilion laptop 2-in-1. I upgraded to Windows 11 a few months ago. Now and then, the computer switches to tablet mode for no reason (I'm not rotating the computer). It freezes up, and it takes several restarts to get back to normal display. Suggested solutions for disabling tablet mode in Windows 11 haven't worked for me. How can I make this stop?
