Windows 10: windows 11 home upgrade to 11 pro. can't join a domain

Hello,we tried all different ways through youtube videos that can fix this issue, but all don't work. i wonder if we need to reinstall windows 11 pro. please advise. Error msg "the network path cannot be found".

How to upgrade a domain-joined PC to Windows 11?

I need to start testing Windows 11. I understand that domain-joined computers will not be automatically upgraded so I'd like to know how I can manually upgrade. We're talking about a few specific computers, not organization-wide. Removing and rejoining the domain is not an option in my case.

Also, I also need to test the ARM64 version because there are a few ARM laptops, which are also domain-joined. How do I upgrade those? There is no Media Creation Tool for ARM and again, removing and rejoining the domain is not an option.

Windows 11 Pro Upgrade from Windows 10 Pro Edition

No but after it installed the malfunctioning Windows 11 upgrade it was listed as Windows 11 Pro. Microsoft Windows support advised I reinstall Windows 10 Pro and said that Windows 11 is really only meant for new PC's that come with it preinstalled. MSI website doesn't list my 2020 GT76 Titan dt-039 notebook on their Windows 11 upgrade eligibility list so I guess that's why the Windows 11 Pro upgrade failed. I suggest being careful with trying the Windows 11 upgrade despite it stating my notebook was capable of running Windows 11 it was wrong. Luckily I have the original Windows 10 Pro USB Flash drive because the Windows 11 Pro upgrade was so incomplete I had no way of reverting notebook back to Windows 10 without reinstalling from a USB Flash.

 

Re-join the domain after upgrade

There is no need to leave the domain, you can perform the upgrade (with Admin privileges).

You can also leave the domain, upgrade with a local account, then join the domain again.
