    DearsSuddently my windows 11 hotspot is not working. The clients cannot connect to the hotspot and the error is cannot obtain ip adress.I tried to reset the network adapter, the ip, netsh, restart the services commands as suggested in many thread but the result is still the same.I noticed that the dhcp is not enabled on the connection, could this be the problem? how do I enabled it ?     Static IP adress vs DHCP

    Does your router support specific IP address reservations? Any client in the Address Reservation table will always get the same IP address. The client gets set to DHCP but it always pulls the same IP address from the router. That way the router handles the DNS name lookup for the local network.

    Why DHCP Client not getting automatic IP

    Hello,

    In the log you provided, "Firewall port 68 is closed on interface 13" means that firewall port 68 on interface 13 is closed. Port 68 is used to receive IP address allocation information from the DHCP server. When the client starts, it sends a DHCP request on this port to obtain an automatically assigned IP address. This may be one of the reasons why the DHCP client cannot obtain an automatic IP address. You can first check the firewall settings to ensure that port 68 is open.
