Hello, I need some help and have some suggestions around IME and input methods.I would love to be able to have a shortcut for katakana and hiragana or a toggle between them.Currently in windows 11 it seems there is no way to create this shortcut.` tilde keyCaps LockAnd Alt+Tab for some reason*All of the above have the functionality of toggling input methods.` makes the most sense in its behavior as it toggles to 1 input method of your choosing. However, it is impossible to change both sides of the toggle as alpha-numeric-halfwidth will always be switched back automatically to one of the sid

Can't type hiragana on Japanese IME keyboard after updating to Windows 10

Microsoft support suggests that you can use the hotkeys
to switch between input modes quickly:

• Press + to change the input language
• Press + to change to Hiragana
• Press + to change to Katakana
• Press + to toggle between alphanumeric and kana modes

As a side note: if you were really intent on making Hiragana your default input, you could write an
AutoHotkey script to do this for you. However, this involves understanding that scripting language.

Japanese IME shortcuts have been changed?

Hi,

It seems that since a few days ago, the Japanese IME keyboards shortucts have been changed? Before to switch from my "normal" input method (French) to the Japanese one, I had to press ALT + SHIFT, but I realised yesterday that now it's WINDOWS + SPACE...
And all of the shortcuts I was using: ALT+² in order to switch from hiragana, to katakana, to romaji for instance, don't work anymore. What happened? Also, is there a list of all the new shortcuts I could use?
