Windows 10: Windows 11, how to stop screensaver from coming on

I have it set to none is the screensaver options but if i walk away from my laptop or watching tv etc, the screensaver will come on! It's getting annoying now. I've gone through all my power settings etc and there is nothing i can see that would make the screensaver switch on when it's set to none. Please help! Thanks.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

Screensaver is so dated I had to really dig to find those fixes, so to have them completely ignored is very discouraging. Can you go back to the top of the list and work through them now?

 

Streaming stops when screensaver starts

Hi,

As it is normal for the screensaver to stop the streaming once it kicks in, you may have to turn off your screen saver. To do that, you can follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key on the keyboard.
• Type Screen saver.
• You will see Turn off or On screen saver option in the search results.
• Click on Turn off or On screen saver.
• Select None in the drop down option for Screen saver.
