Windows 10: Windows 11 - HP MFP scanner problem

Ever since updating to Windows 11 from 10, there has been an error message stating that the HP scanner cannot be found. The HP printer and scanner are all in one and the printer interface is fine.My IT expert has corrected the problem a number of times and then it recurs probably after an auto update by Windows 11.This is costly and extremely irrirating.

Scanner problem

• When did this issue start to occur?
  • When I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far?
  • Reinstalled scanner app, restored computer to an earlier Windows 10 setting, reinstalled HP drivers for MFP, uninstalled and reinstalled MFP
• Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • Only the Windows upgrade
• Are you using the built-in Windows Fax and Scan app? Or are you using other app or program to scan?
  • Built-in, allegedly workable with Windows 8.1 and above.
    
    
• Is the printer/scanner working? Is it doing other tasks properly like printing just fine?
  • It prints fine, although an error message shows on desktop with every use, stating that the computer and printer cannot communicate.
• Is the printer connected wired, wireless or via network?
  • Printer is on the network and accessed via TCP/IP protocol

Scanner communcation for HP Laserjet Pro CM1415fn color MFP lost in Windows 10

I have just upgraded my PC from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 and have just noted that I have lost scanner communication over the network. I am getting message that scanner communication has been lost. Toubleshooting advised to disable my Firewall
which I did but with no effect whatsoever, Running the programme (HP LJ CM 1410 MFP Series Scan) in Windows 7 compatability mode as Administrator has still not resolve my problem.

Printing over the network is fine; apparently the HP Scan programme is incompatible with windows 10. No help is available from HP.com

I use the scanner on a daily basis and this is a big diappointment. I never had any similar problems in Windows 7.

Can anyone suggest any helpful advice please?
