Windows 10: Windows 11 Hypervisor BSOD using Asus Crosshair V Formula-z motherboard

I have a Asus Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard with an AMD FX-8300 CPU, 32 gig of ram and using the latest bios and running Windows 11. I installed Windows 11 with the no tpm registry crack and so far Windows 11 is running stable in my "unsupported hardware". I purchased a TPM 2.0 but apparently my motherboard BIOS doesn't read it correctly so I purchased a TPM 1.2 and Windows 11 and my BIOS reads it correctly. The issue is that when I enable the HyperV feature to run WSL in Windows 11, I get the "Hypervisor Error BSOD" and it crashes my system. When I disable the HyperV feature, Windows 11 r

Overclocking FX 6300 on Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

Hey guys.

So I'm trying to see what the maximum overclock I can reach/achieve on my Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z AMD FX 6300 CPU is and if I can run at the max OC stable. If any of you have achieved a higher OC on this chip than 4.5GHz (For example; 4.8GHz) could you possibly share with me the settings you used? Example; multiplier, DRAM & NB frequencies, voltages, etc.

The current clock speed I am running atm is 3.5GHz which is stock.

EK to Release a Full-Board Water Block for the ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z

EK Water Blocks, premium water cooling gear provider, will soon release new Full-Board (FB) water block for ASUS flagship AMD AM3+ socket Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard.

The upcoming EK-FB ASUS C5F-Z for ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard will be a single piece Full-Board water block which will directly cool AMD 990FX northbridge and the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module. Due to the budget nature of this water block the AMD SB950 southbridge will remain cooled using ASUS factory provided heatsink . This water cooling solution will require two G1/4 threaded fittings and will sport a high flow design therefore posing a minimal flow restriction to the water cooling circuit.







Furthermore this new water block will be compatible with the original version of ASUS Crosshair V Formula motherboard and will as such replace the existing EK-FB ASUS Crosshair V lineup.

Expected release date is 10th of December with MSRP around 70€ incl. VAT.

 

Crosshair v formula Question boot legacy

There are two versions of the Crosshair V.

There is the Crosshair V formula-Z ...released this year.
and there is a Crosshair V formula..released a year and a bit ago

I think the Crosshair V formula-Z has a the option..to switch between Legacy xp/7 and windows 8 boot modes.

mediasorcerer do you have the formula Z version? I have the older one.
