Windows 10: Windows 11 - Increase Number of Items in Jump List File Explorer Pinned to Task Bar

I've got Window 11 Pro. I have File Explorer pinned to the Task bar. I've added to the jump list by navigating in File Explorer to the desired folder, clicking the three dots at top - beneath address bar, and selecting Pin to Quick access. This works - until all available 'slots' in the Jump list fill - and that number appears to be 13. see screen capture What if I want to increase this number to, say, 25? How would I accomplish this? W10: Increase number of recent/pinned items in Jump Lists

Hi All,

i'm trying to increase the number of items that i can pin to my taskbar. In Win8, it was right click on taskbar > properties > Jump Lists tab. is there a way to increase this in Win10?

Also, have you tried actually "pinning" more than 10 files onto a jumplist? I only get 11 or 12 "recent" files on a jumplist regardless of the size set in the registry, but if I actually pin more, then the list extends.

I have added the JumpListItems_Maximum to HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced and tried various settings between 15 and 30 (decimal). Nothing seems to change the number of recent items that appear. I've not tested much with pinned items -- for me, it's a longer list of recent items that I want. Have I done anything wrong or missed something, or does this registry setting only apply to pinned items (from what I've read here, that has not been the case for others)? Note that there had also been the Start_JumpListItems, but different values in that didn't seem to do anything either, so I deleted it, which seemed to be recommended here too for maximum flexibility between pinned and recent items.
