Windows 10: Windows 11 Insider Preview Installation Error 0xc19001e2

My Windows edition is 11 Pro and the version is 24H2. My insider program is Dev. Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26120.2222 ge_release_upr cannot successfully update, appear Install error - 0xc19001e2. why?

Updating Windows Error - preinstall.cmd failure 0xC19001E2

Hey Everyone,

I've recently came across a problem affecting systems trying to update from 1803/1809 to 1909 or higher.

No matter what route I take this machine just won't update.
I've tried Native update, Update assistant, and windows installation media. I would reimage them but it just isn't an option.

I'm looking to see if anyone else has any ideas on how to move past the preinstall.cmd ran into problems error/0xC19001e2

Here is what I've tried

• SFC /scannow
  
• Starting and Stopping windows update services
  
• uninstalling software that does encryption (dell software etc)
  
• disable bitlocker
  
• install latest drivers and bios versions
  
• try boot media updates and update assistant
  

when running setup diag it pulls this

Error: SetupDiag reports abrupt down-level failure.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Install Failed

• Are you referring to Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14267?
• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the
Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14267
update, then please check it after sometime. Refer this link

Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22504.1010 - UPDATE FAILED

This may have same issue which is listed build 22504 release announcement as "know issue".

• Some devices may bugcheck with error code 0xc1900101-0x4001c when installing this build. If you hit this, after the device rolls back to the previous build, you may want to pause updates until we release a fix.
