Windows 10: Windows 11 Installation Media giving "The upgrade option isn't Available, if you start your...

I'm trying to install a fresh windows 11 installation on an SSD, but whole process seems to be just the biggest pain I've ever dealt with. This error isn't even the first one I've had but luckily found a way to fix the first one.so right after the terms and services screen I press Accept and I get a screen saying compatibility error reading "The upgrade option isn't Available, if you start your computer using Windows installation Media". I have no clue if I had pressed the wrong installation or what, but I pressed the only one that said was used for flash drives.Who knew just trying to install

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

is threre clean Install option in Windows 8 Pro?

the upgrade option worked really well for me on the vga bench system (for testing). all your installed programs and everything will be there just like you left them on windows 7.

you do the upgrade by starting the installer from within windows.

if you boot from the installation media, you can format your system before installing

 

New Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox

Anyone who uses Windows Vista and Mozilla Firefox may be pleased to hear that the Windows Media Player team has now released a plugin for Firefox that should allow the browser to play WMP content on websites. Here are the steps to get it working:

• Installation of the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin may require administrative access to your PC. It is recommended that you close all other open browser windows before continuing with the installation.
• Click the Install button to automatically download and install the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin.
• Depending on your security settings, you may see a Security Warning dialog box. Click Install to install the plugin.

There is a known issue if you are using Firefox version 2.0.0.3 on Windows Vista with the installer failing with error code -203. To work around this simply restart Firefox (you will get a notification that Windows Vista will be changing the Firefox compatibility settings) and then install again - the second time should succeed.

The download is available here, and the new plugin works on all versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista (although it is mostly intended for Vista, as that currently has no WMP support in Firefox).
