Windows 10: Windows 11 installed; Screen is too bright. How can I make it less bright?

I downloaded Windows 11 last night. At once, everything appeared in the Dark screen mode where all the bright colors are dark. After some finagling, I changed the screen image to light., However, in the process, I inadvertently made the picture too bright for my eyes. How can I change it back to less bright?

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

My laptop screen brightness is always at Max even when I reduce it. And there is also no sleep option. I make use of windows 10. Please any suggestion
