    Windows 11 installer locks up at spinner 40%


    My ThinkPad came with Windows 10, and is now being forced to install Windows 11, no problem right? Well it reboots several times, and at about "Applying Updates: 21%" it reboots then the Windows 11 logo shows up with the spinner. At about 40% it locks up and the only thing to do is to hard reset. I left it running for 4 days and its very stuck. NO PERIPHERALS attached, power connected, etc. I have tried it all and have to deal with this ever day. I may move off of Windows ...

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Computer stuck at lock screen and after Anniversary Update on Windows 10

    The first suggestion is not helpful since the problem is that we have many open programs stuck behind the lock screen.

    I have run into this problem and tried the On-screen keyboard but it does not help.

    An additional data point is that it does not matter what password is entered.

    Enter correct password -> spinner shows up, after about 30 seconds the spinner goes away and the screen remains locked.

    Enter blank password (simply hit Enter) -> same behaviour as above.

    The behaviour is the same whether using physical or On-screen keyboards.
