Windows 10: Windows 11 is disconnecting the network connection when the screen is turned off.

Windows 11 Pro on a brand new PC, is disconnecting the Network Connection immediately, when the screen is turned off.Windows is fully updated and drivers are manually updated to the latest version.It does not matter if the screen is turned off by Windows power settings, or manually with a PowerShell command.The power-setting allowing Windows to turn off the network adapter is unchecked and "Energy efficient Ethernet" is set to Off.Leaving a youtube video playing as a workaround costs too much energy/CO2 for me.Thanks in advance for helping resolve this problem.P.S.For easy testing, create a

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

Windows 10 Ethernet connection randomly disconnects

I suggest checking out the event log in Windows. It's likely going to tell you why (to some degree,) why the network connection was lost. I haven't had this issue with wired connections but, with wireless it has almost always come down to drivers or a strange software bug which boiled down to how the driver operates.
