C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows 11 is not getting updated, I could not find WinREAgent folder in C: drive? ;)
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

  3. Navigating $WINDOWS.~BT and $WinREAgent Folders: How Can I Safely Remove $WINDOWS.~BT and $WinREAgent Folders?

    Hi Timothy,

The $WINDOWS.~BT and $WinREAgent Folders can be manually deleted.

$WINDOWS.~BT is created when a feature update is installed.

$WinREAgent may have been created by the KB503411 update.

    They can be deleted.

Note: Clicking “Uninstall updates" on the WU history page won't help.

  4. Windows 11 is not getting updated, I could not find WinREAgent folder in C: drive?

    Windows 10 forced download

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").

To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:
    • Right-click on your C: drive.
    • Select "Properties".
    • Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
    • After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
    • Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
    • Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.
