Windows 10: Windows 11 isn't showing my files with a .nef extension

Hi all,I just built a new PC and installed Windows 11 pro.I have a western digital Network drive and it contains photos in JPG and NEF format Nikon raw image.On my windows 11 PC, I can see the JPG files, however, the nef files do not appear. It's as if they don't exist. On my laptop running Windows 10, I can see the files fine.On my windows 10 laptop, I checked the file attributes and they aren't "hidden". I even enabled the show hidden files option on my PC running Windows 11 and they still didn't show up.I have installed the Nikon NEF Codec but it didn't help.Why can I not see my .NEF file

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

Unable to show .nef thumbnails on windows 10

When going to any folder with .nef files, from my nikon d850, no thumbnails are shown. I have tried:

Click on View tab and check if the below options are checked:

• Display file icon on thumbnails
• 
  Show preview handlers in preview pane.
  

d. Uncheck the below options:

• 
  Always show icons, never thumbnails
  
• 
  Always show menu
  

e. Enable or disable any other options you wish to make changes on by checking and unchecking the adjacent option boxes.

f. Click on Apply and OK.

This did nothing.

I can see the .nef files from all of my older cameras like the d750.

I would like to inform you that RAW pictures are high-quality, uncompressed files that differ by camera manufacturer. Some common file name extensions for RAW picture files include: .cr2, .crw, .dng, .nef, .orf, .rw2, .pef, .arw, .sr2, .srf, and .tif.

You can view RAW pictures in Windows Explorer or Photo Viewer if you have the right codec for your specific camera installed on your PC. If you’re having problems seeing your RAW files,
I would suggest you to use any converter to convert the format and then try to open in Photo App.
