Windows 11 keeps changing samplerate of microphone

Hello,I recently updated to Windows 11 and now I have an issue with my microphone. Every time I restart my PC, the sample rate keeps resetting to 44100Hz. However, at this sample rate, my voice sounds pitched down in various communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Discord, and Skype. Changing my microphone sample rate to 48000Hz solves the problem, but after restarting my PC, the sample rate is set back to 44100Hz. I never had this issue with Windows 10. In the audio interface's control panel, the sample rate is locked at 48000Hz, so it should not be changed by the control panel

    :)

    Microphone issues

    Hi Michael,

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

    • Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
    • Corrupted or outdated driver
    • Faulty device

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
    • Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
    • Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see
    Geethu B's on this
    link.

We're looking forward to your reply.
