Windows 10: Windows 11 keeps crashing after restart to install 23h2 and does not implement.

After installing a cumulative update for 23h2 my computer crashed. The unit would boot for about 5-10 seconds and crash with different errors each time. To try and fix it I attempted to uninstall the update which completely uninstalled 23h2. When I go to reinstall the update I reboot the computer, it crashes after restarting and will want to restart again to install the update. Computer seems to be fine before restart and sfc /scannow does not help.

Windows 11 keeps asking to restart after installing Update Version 23H2

I have Windows 11.



I installed: 2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375) but my machine was not stable and kept going to debugging mode. I had to do a restore point to a couple of days earlier.



Since then I keep getting the following message:



2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375) --Pending restart



I have restarted machine many times but it keeps asking to restart.



What should I do?

Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

• 22000.xxx is 21H2
  
• 22621.xxx is 22H2
  
• 22631.xxx is 23H2
