Windows 11 keeps switching to "High Performance" power plan when plugging in a laptop

I have a Lenovo Yoga 7 specifically 14ARB7 that I want to keep conserving battery when used, and to reduce unnecessary noise or heat output. My main issue is that the Windows 11 installation keeps changing the power plan to "High Performance" mode whenever I plug it in, but I want it to remain as is.How do I stop it from enabling it automatically? I don't need or want the "High Performance" power plan. I have my "Battery Saver" power mode all configured to my liking and prefer it to be for both plugged in cases, and unplugged cases.

    :)

My battery power plan keeps switching to high performance

Hi I have tried all of these and the problem is still occurring when I also looked in registry the preffered power plan is already set to balanced, but it is still keep switching to high performance mode power plan. Every time I restart the laptop it
is in high performance mode and even when I change back to balanced it keeps switching back to high performance mode.

  3. High Performance Power Plan Disappeared

I am using the latest version of Windows 11 and I changed my power plan to "Balanced" just to try it out and when I went back into Control Panel to change it back to "High Performance", it was not there anymore. I tried a lot of suggested fixes that are on the internet but none of them worked. I also tried creating my own power plan and chaning the settings but its just not the same performance as the High Performance power plan. Is there any way to bring it back?

  4. Windows 11 keeps switching to "High Performance" power plan when plugging in a laptop

Is there a way to automatically adjust the brightness or the power plan of my laptop when plugged in?

I cannot find the option to automatically change either the brightness of the monitor or the power plan when switching between battery and plugged in on my laptop.

There should be a slider in the power plan settings where I can select different brightness levels when on battery power (low brightness, balanced performance) or when plugged in (high brightness, high performance), but it's missing.

I am using a HP Omen with Windows 11 latest update.
