Windows 10: Windows 11 Keyboard Language Malfunction

Although I didn't choose EnglishUS as my keyboard language, it still show up. Anyone knows ways to fix this?

Language bar malfunction

We appreciate your response. It seems that the other keyboards are added in the Language option settings. What you can do is to remove the keyboard by following the steps below:

• Press the Windows key.
• Type Edit language and keyboard options.
• Press the Enter key.
• Click the Windows display language that is on default.
• Click Options.
• Select the keyboard and click Remove.

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language
To change your Windows display language (that's the language you see most often in Windows and apps), first add a language, download and install the language pack, and then follow these steps.

  (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
• Tap or click Time and language, and then tap or click Region and language.
• Tap or click the language that you want to set as your display language.
• Tap or click Set as primary to move the language to the top of the list. If the language can become your Windows display language, you'll see Will be display language after next sign-in appear under the language.
• Sign out and then sign back in to finish.

Keyboard malfunction (HP 500)

Hello Wolfe,

This issue might occur due to the keyboard language change. It happens so when you upgrade to Windows 10, certain settings changes will take place with the upgrade. The keyboard language might change or the device drivers may
not be compatible with the upgraded operating system.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the
hardware and devices troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type
  troubleshooter and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
• Select Hardware and Devices, click on
  advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: I suggest you to
download the keyboard language from the Settings page by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type
  Settings and select the top most search result.
• Select Time & Language from the options shown in the window.
• Click onRegion & Language from the left side panel, click on
  English language under Added language and click on
  Options.
• Check if you have downloaded the Language Pack,
  Speech and Keyboard language from the window. Download the pending language pack and check if the issue is resolved.
• After the download is complete, go back to
  Region & language window, select English language
  and click on Set as Default.
• Close the page and check if the issue is resolved.
