Windows 10: Windows 11 Laptop cycles between waking the external monitor before going back to sleep...

When I use minidp to connect external Monitor LG-GP2783B, and manually make the laptop sleep, after 5 or 10 minutes, the external Monitor will power on and show a lit-up black screen before flashing an on screen display message that there is no signal and shutting down again. The laptop display itself remains off. This cycle repeats regularly every 5 or 10 minutes and I can not find what caused it. I use powercfg and there is no information about wake up. HDMI and integrate monitor does not have the probelm, but I need dp port, It makes me crazy every night

Using laptop as desktop - can't wake it from sleep with wireless mouse or keyboard.

• 4. Test waking from Sleep with the monitor connected to the laptop.
• 5. Disconnect the monitor from the laptop, reboot, then test waking from Sleep without an external monitor.

No luck with monitor connected. Disconnected the monitor, rebooted, then tested wake-from-sleep with no external monitor - no luck.

 

External laptop monitor won't wake up after sleep

External 32" Benq monitor attached to 15" Dell laptop won't wake up after sleep. Have to turn it off and back on every time. Laptop, external keyboard and other peripherals are up an running after laptop wake up. Did not have this problem with any other
Win 10 laptop/ external monitor combo.

Specs: Dell XPS 9550, i7 6th gen, Win 10 64 bit, 16Gb RAM, 1Tb SSD, 2Gb NVIDIA GTX 960M. Everything up to date.

 

Dual monitors not waking from sleep

Hi all,

I'm having issues where my monitors won't wake from sleep in a dual monitor setup. This only occurs after waking them from a sleep state, and they work fine when booting up my PC from scratch.

I have tested both monitors in a single monitor setup and the issue goes away completely as they wake from sleep just fine when only using a single monitor. This issue only seems to occur when using both monitors simultaneously.

I have tried the below steps to no avail to remedy the issue:

• Changed the DisplayPort cable
  
• Uninstalled graphics drivers with DDU and reinstalled them again
  
• Made sure Windows update was completely up-to-date, including any optional drivers
  
• Made sure there were no unknown devices in Device Manager
  
• Turned Link State Power Management under PCI Express in Power Plan settings to off
  
• Completely formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows 11
  

None of these steps have resolved the issue.

Any assistance provided will be much appreciated!
