    Windows 11 laptop, every time I connect to dock, I have to disable Laptop monitor manually


    Since Hardware profile is gone, every time I connect my Windows 11 laptop to docking station, I had to manually disable laptop screen. My preference is use only external monitor when connected to docking station. It is frustrating to MANUALLY turn off the laptop monitor in display settings configure use only external monitor everytime.Anyone have any ideas of automatically use ONLY external montiors when connected to docking station?

    Windows 11 HP laptop not detecting external monitor using J5 docking station. Changed hdmi cable and replaced docking station. Will not display on HP external monitor.

    Dual Monitors connecting to Docking Station

    I have an HP laptop, running Windows 7, with an HP docking station. I also have dual LG monitors. I have one monitor connected through the VGA port. I have a Displayport to HDMI cable for the second monitor. The display ports on the docking station
    are ++. The HDMI monitor will wake up when connected, it asks if I want to connect, but I cannot answer OK. It then goes to sleep. I have the monitors set to extend, and I keep the laptop closed. Both monitors work, using the VGA, so I know it isn't a
    monitor issue. Suggestions?
