Latest windows update - After Windows update system runs normally for a few minutes or hours then slowly begins to unravel. Acts like it is pegged or has a memory leak but task manager shows no such issues. Mouse movement is completely responsive. System behaves like it is hung but task manager usually shows less than 3% cpu and no more than 1/3 of memory in use. Del XPS 8950, Intel 12th gen i7, 32GB DDR5 memory. How do I find the windows 11 product key on my new Dell XPS 8950 desktop? I would like to reinstall the OS on a second larger SSD card and make it the primary drive.

 

XPS 8950/Windows 11 No output to external amp

Just purchased XPS. Hooked to external receiver EXACLY as per instructions. No sound. Have tried all the troubleshooting steps that W 11 offers as well as the ones in these forums. Dell seems to think Windows is problem. Is anyone else experiencing this.?

Step 1: Windows Version & Latest OS Build

• To check your latest build:
  • Windows Key + R
  • Run window will open
  • Type:
  • winver
  • And press enter to open About Windows
  • Cross check whether you have latest Version & OS Build
  • Till Today: Windows 10 Version 1607 & OS Build
    14393.82
• You may achieve latest version through steps 2.
• If you have a latest version, go to step 3.

Step 2: Windows 10 Anniversary Update(Version 1607):

• To download & install Windows 10 Anniversary Update, follow any of the mentioned methods

Method 1:
Microsoft - "Update now"




Method 2:
Microsoft - "Download tool now"(Recommended)





Though you have upgraded to latest version of Windows, please proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Windows Update(OS Build 14393.82)

• Once again update through Windows Update
• Follow this steps:
  • Click on Windows Key
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Update & Security
  • On left panel click on Windows Update
  • On right panel under Windows Update click on Check for Updates

If still getting an error proceed to step 4

Step 4:
Check & Restore windows integrity

• Click on Windows Key
• Type Command Prompt
• Right click on Command Prompt
  and run as Administrator
• Command Prompt window will open and type the following command and press enter
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth && DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Step 5: Scan your system

• Scan your system by Windows Defender(Recommended) or antivirus program

If still getting an error proceed to step 6
