Windows 10: Windows 11 latest update: no more Quick Access. Where can I pin frequently used folders?

I have the most recent Windows 11 build 22621.2428, and now my Quick Access has disappeared. It is not an option in the left panel in File Explorer. All of my pinned folders have disappeared. When I right click on a folder, I am given a "Pin to Quick Access" option, but when I choose it, nothing happens. While I have an "add to favorites" option for individual files, I do not have that option for folders. So now I have to keep navigating to the folders in their regular location, which is a big waste of time. As a professor who works in multiple folders every day, this is a real nuisance. Pleas

"frequently used folder" in "quick access" only has pinned folder

"frequently used folder" in "quick access" only has pinned folder.

This mean I can not see an automatic update of my frequently-used folder.

I have made sure that these two "quick access" related checkboxes in privacy are on.

I want to see an automatic update of quick access, what should i do?

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Add or Remove Frequent folders from Quick access in Windows 10  

I think you may have misinterpreted question. If you unpin everything, the frequents folder listing on right hand panel screen disappears. However if you pin something it comes back.

I want to be able to pin folders but not have the frequents folder listing reappearing. I know I can collapse frequent folder listing.

I really see no point of it when I have folders pinned on left hand panel.
